Pneumatic Instrumentation Senior Maintenance Technician – Oil and Gas x 2

  • Report to Instrument Maintenance Unit Supervisor
  • Area: Bouri Offshore – located 120 kilometers (75 mi) north of the Libyan coast in the Mediterranean Sea
  • Rotation Schedule: 4 Weeks On/4 Weeks Off – Only working days are paid.
  • Minimum 1 Year appointment period

Job Description:

Coordinates      and   execute, under   minimum   Supervision    of the   Instrument    Maintenance    Unit Supervisor and in agreement with the Company Policies and Safety & Environment   Standards, the following tasks:

  • Perform   all types   of maintenance   works required   by the management   that are within the specialization and   capacity   of the   resources   e.g.   Predictive, Preventive    and   Corrective maintenance.
  • Set-up, troubleshoots, overhauls, calibrate, repair, replace and carry out maintenance works    in   the   field    and   workshop    of   pneumatic    instrument    and    electronic equipment/devices, valves, etc.
  • Find-out   by means   of inspection   or upon   users   indications, working   defects   on equipment such as pneumatic valves and relays, speed, pressure and flow regulation systems and temperature meters, pulse converters, valve locking and opening system.
  • Find-out   breakdown   or failures by selecting   and inspecting pneumatic, electronic, circuits   by means   of specifying   testing   equipment, and by referring   to complex manual and diagrams.
  • Calibrate instrument by means of weight calibrators, meter gauges and thermometers, differential gauges, Wheatstone’s bridges, and specific testers etc.
  • Relay all significant technical information or data to unit supervisor that could be useful for future jobs or maintenance plan.

Educational Level and Training:

  • From secondary school combined with qualification or possessed related training certificates.
  • English language literate.
  • BOSIET (Offshore Survival and Fire Fighting) and IDS Training Course.

Required Experience:

  • Not less than 8 years’ experience as Pneumatic Instrument Technician in Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Knowledgeable on using various electronics instrumentation gauges and test devices and comparing related values with those reported in the electronics and instrumentation diagrams and drawings.
