B.E Staffing Solutions is seeking a CNC Milling Programmer and Operator for a position in Bryanston. The ideal candidate is a skilled professional with a minimum of two years’ experience, proficient in Edgecam programming and CNC milling machine operation. This role involves designing toolpaths, setting up Haas and Hurco CNC machines, and ensuring precision manufacturing within tight tolerances in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform CNC milling programming using Edgecam, including drawing and generating toolpaths for 2D and 3D designs.
Set up and operate Haas and Hurco CNC milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
Select appropriate tools and cutters based on job requirements and material specifications.
Work to tight tolerances of ±0.02mm, machining tool steel in soft, pre-hardened, and hardened states up to 54 HRC.
Measure finished parts according to drawing specifications, verifying compliance with tolerances using precision tools.
Run multiple parts on CNC machines using different G-codes and offsets, clocking jobs with edge finders, finger clocks, or probes.
Maintain CNC equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition and performing regular cleaning and servicing.
Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during all machining activities.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to required standards, providing technical support as needed.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workshop to support efficient operations.
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in CNC milling programming and operation.
Experience in plastic injection moulds is preferred.
Availability
Must be immediately available to start work.
Candidates must reside in Bryanston or surrounding areas.
Skills and Competencies
Proficiency in Edgecam for drawing, programming, and generating toolpaths.
Ability to work with 2D and 3D drawings and file formats such as DXF, DWG, IGES, and XT.
Expertise in setting up and operating Haas and Hurco CNC milling machines.
Skill in selecting and managing tools and cutters for diverse materials.
Precision skills to maintain ±0.02mm tolerances and measure parts accurately.
Experience machining tool steel (soft, pre-hardened, hardened up to 54 HRC).
Knowledge of running multiple parts with different G-codes and offsets.
Familiarity with clocking techniques using edge finders, finger clocks, and probes.
Reliable and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
Willingness to learn and improve machining skills under supervision.
Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

Working Hours
Standard Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00–17:00
Additional Hours: Occasional overtime, including alternate Saturdays 08:00–13:00 and Sundays as required, to meet project deadlines or handle breakdowns.
