The CNC Toolmaker is responsible for diagnosing, repairing and/or modifying all mould and tool related problems, as well as developing and manufacturing of new moulds from time to time.
Must have or be compliant on the following:
- Must know Edgecam
- Must have worked on Haas and/or Hurco Milling machines
- Must have experience in thin wall plastic injection moulding
- No restraint of trade
Competencies
• Programming in Edgecam
• CNC setup, programming and operation
• Design parts using 2D and/or 3D software or CAD programs
• Mechanical aptitude
• Prioritising work in order of urgency
Key responsibilities:
- Tool inspections during production runs.
- Tool maintenance between production runs.
- Attending promptly to machine stoppages or breakdowns in the production area.
- Maintaining quality of injection moulded products
Salary Package: R30 000 – R35 000 per month
